- Hehe, nobody says "scotch black", when you say "black or black label" in a bar, they know what you want. black is a scotch, you don't need say scotch black. scotch just mean whisky that made in Scotland. If you ask for scotch in a bar they would ask you what scotch you want, if you ask for black label, they may ask you how you want it. A drinker may just say "one shot of blue or double" whatever.
